Old Street roundabout’s redevelopment will

return traffic to two-way. The new public realm
will make the transfer between trains and
buses smoother.

The new plans are expected to include:

North western side of the roundabout being paved over to make a large 'peninsula' designed to create a new public space and make the junction safer for pedestrian and cyclists.

Old street station will have a new entrance way installed in a central location where the island is at present.

Other planned improvements include segregated cycle lanes and cycle friendly traffic signals.
